Is Google Making Us Stupid? : Response

This article is about how the modern person struggles to read long pieces or literature, because of how our society is. Unfortunatly the article was extremly long, so long infact that the writer was veering into hypocrisy. Due to our fast internet access and telivision shows with frequent commercials, our culture as a whole has concentration difficulties.
"And what the Net seems to be doing is chipping away my capacity for concentration and contemplation. My mind now expects to take in information the way the Net distributes it: in a swiftly moving stream of particles. Once I was a scuba diver in the sea of words. Now I zip along the surface like a guy on a Jet Ski."
Says the author. I completly agree with what he is saying about a person's attention span is very limited, but I believe Mr.Carr could have summed up his point in a much smaller article. It is true that our society is getting impatient due to our privilaged lives, I just wonder how far it will go.
